Resumo: This article aims to study the relations between the images and the verbal content of the texts “Brazilian Music”, “Brazilian Handmade LAce” e “Brazilian Dolls”, written respectively by Mário de Andrade, Nóbrega da Cunha and, probably, Cecília Meireles. These texts were published in magazine Travel in Brazil, in 1941-1942, that was edited by Cecília Meireles and financed by Department of Press and Propaganda (DIP) of the Vargas Government, which was responsible for disseminate the Brazilian culture in the exterior aiming to establish a flow of U. S. tourists to Brazil. The three texts remit to three distinct forms of art that are the music, the lace and the dolls, but together they valorize the Brazil as tourist destination.

Los tres textos se refieren a las tres formas distintas de arte, que son la musica, los encajes y las muñecas, pero que juntas valoran el Brasil como destino turistico.Este artigo tem o objetivo de estudar a relação entre as imagens e o conteúdo verbal dos textos “Música Brasileira”, “Rendas Artesanais Brasileiras” e “Bonecas Brasileiras”, escritos respectivamente por Mário de Andrade, Nóbrega da Cunha e, provavelmente, Cecília Meireles. Esses textos foram publicados na revista Travel in Brazil, em 1941-1942, que foi editada por Cecília Meireles e financiada pelo Departamento de Imprensa e Propaganda (DIP) do Governo de Vargas, que era responsável por divulgar a cultura brasileira no exterior visando estabelecer um fluxo de turistas estadunidenses para o Brasil.
