The present work had the objective of analyzing the discourse of representation of the indigenous, in the article published on august 29, 2015, in the Correio do Estado newspaper about the climate of war in the municipality of Antônio João, Mato Grosso do Sul, due to the action Of reoccupation of farms by the indigenous Guarani Kaiowá, Terra Ñande Ru Marangatu. The journal object of this work becomes important in this analysis due to its tradition and credibility in the state. The methodology proposed for the analysis of the article is the critical analysis of the narrative, narratology, that allowed to understand in depth the strategies of journalism to give flow to the hegemonic narrative, in what refers to the formation of a discourse of representation of the indigenous.
