This study proposes a look at the dramaturgy of the Bulgarian writer Elias Canetti (1905-1994), Nobel Prize for Literature in 1981. The selected play for analysis is The Wedding ( Hochzeit ), 1932, which reveals a tragicomic and criticai view of both modern world and subject. Canettls dramatic text, by flirting with psychodrama, impregnates the dialogues of the characters with rawness and a difficult human reality. In this approach, it is assumed that there  is no way to speak of the author's work without referring to his trajectory in  order to address on the Creative and aesthetic process and on the themes  developed in the play, since there is an umbilical relationship between language  and homeland that also permeates his thematic choices and his dramaturgy.
