Tempo e história na literatura educativa de Dyonélio Machado: o eterno retorno e a dissolução da historicidadeTempo.História.Eterno retorno.Literatura.Ensino.Time.History.Eternal return.Literature.Teaching.CNPQ::LINGUISTICA, LETRAS E ARTES::LETRAS::LITERATURA BRASILEIRAEste texto tem como proposta básica o estudo da relação entre tempo e história no romance Os ratos, do escritor gaúcho Dyonélio Machado. Para este estudo, foi necessário analisar a função do tempo na evolução da narrativa, uma vez que se apresenta como um dos principais elementos a serem investigados. O que inquieta é a brevidade da narrativa que gira em torno do personagem Naziazeno Barbosa, atormentado pela dívida de cinquenta e três mil réis com o leiteiro. Ele tem apenas vinte e quatro horas para conseguir o dinheiro. Seu ziguezague pelas ruas de Porto Alegre para resolver esse problema do hoje, mergulhado que está no presente, tornou necessário o estudo da circularidade temporal com base na teoria do eterno retorno, dado que a repetição é a tônica da obra, expressa tanto na escrita circular quanto no conteúdo. O personagem, funcionário público fictício, é construído pelo autor sem nenhuma particularização, sem passado e sem futuro. Um homem a-histórico por ter sua historicidade silenciada dentro de uma relação de poder proveniente de um sistema capitalista e do governo Vargas que relega classes de operários à alienação. Sendo uma obra literária pouco conhecida, objetiva-se também entender sua contribuição na aprendizagem dos estudantes do ensino médio. O problema que emerge da narrativa e que motivou esta pesquisa está centrado na relação tempo e história: como a limitação da noção de tempo à circularidade (o eterno retorno ou o mergulho no presentismo) induz à dissolução da noção de historicidade (passado e futuro)?This text aims to study the relation between time and history in the novel The rats (Os ratos), by the writer Dyonélio Machado. To this study, it was necessary to analyze the function of the time in the evolution of the narrative that circles around the character Naziazeno Barbosa, who was tormented by the debt of fifty-three thousand “réis” with the milkman. He has only twenty-four hours to get the money. His zigzag on the streets from Porto Alegre to solve the today problem, immersed in the present, made necessary the study of temporal circularity based on the theory of eternal return, because the repetition is the central point in the novel, expressed in both circular writing and content. The character, who was a fictitious public agent, has been built by the author with no particularization, no past and future. An a-historic man because he has his history silenced within a power relation from a capitalist system and Vargas government that has relegated proletarian classes to alienation. As it is a literary work that is little known, the purpose is to understand its contribution in the learning of high school students as well.
