The outrageous agrarian question: the permanence of the latifundium in Brazil

Resumo: The article aims to analyze the continuity of the agrarian question and the social problems caused and structurally reproduced. In terms of methodology, bibliographic research was chosen, with a qualitative approach based on important references and specific legislation. The results indicate that the Agricultural Parliamentary Front, present in the National Congress, significantly defends the interests of the agrarian elite and groups associated with agribusiness to the detriment of enabling rural workers to access land and the visibility of the peasantry. It was found that there is persistence of the latifundium and resilience of peasants in Brazil in the midst of the current national political scenario.

Na metodologia optou-se pela pesquisa bibliográfica, com abordagem qualitativa a partir de importantes referências e de legislação específica. Os resultados apontam que a Frente Parlamentar da Agropecuária, presente no Congresso Nacional, defende de forma significativa os interesses da elite agrária e dos grupos associados ao agronegócio em detrimento da viabilização do acesso à terra aos trabalhadores rurais e da visibilidade do campesinato.
