Resumo: The deterritorialization of the affected population by the construction of the Santo Antônio Dam in Porto Velho, RO and Belo Monte Dam between Altamira, PA and Vitória do Xingu, PA, transforms the way of life of the families who lived in the areas that were flooded with the filling of the reservoirs. In this sense, the general objective is to analyze two settlements built by hydroelectric plants: one in Porto Velho, called Santa Rita, and the other in Pará, called RRC, in order to demonstrate the main difficulties for reintegration into the new territory. The resettlements were built as a mitigating action of the constraints to mitigate the impact caused to the affected families who were displaced, according to the entrepreneur. The information was collected with literature review, documentary, field collection with photos and data obtained with application of forms and interviews. The resettled live with imposed changes by the entrepreneur who changed their way of life and are constantly seeking to recreate new ways of producing and surviving away from the river, having to adapt to these changes, which are surrounded by misinformation, neglect and revolts, and the main issue is the production of energy and not the improvement of the quality of life of the people involved. Keywords: Territory. Deterritorialization. Territoriality. Resettlement. Amazon.

Amazon.
