The Decision-Making of Women for the Succession of Family Agriculture

Resumo: | Familiar farming is characterized as a sector in increasing development in Brazil, due to its peculiarities brings some lacunar aspects, among these, the issues that relate to gender and successions. This study was given in order to understand how the succession processes is given in the family business, for women, in the field of familiar farming. A study of qualitative, descriptive and cross-sectional design was proceeded, whose three participants are female. A multiple case analysis was performed (Yin, 2005). The results show that, when encouraged by parents, daughters can opt for business succession, moreover, highlights the importance of integrating women as potential managers of the property. |

Este estudo teve como objetivo compreender como ocorrem os processos sucessórios nos negócios da família, para as mulheres, no campo da agricultura familiar. Procedeu-se um estudo de delineamento qualitativo, descritivo e transversal, cujas três participantes são do sexo feminino. Foi realizada uma análise de casos múltiplos (Yin, 2005).
