The discursive functioning of tags in pornographic website videos: a study via designation

Resumo: | The present investigation reflects on the discursive functioning of tags in a video of a female journalist that is available on the pornographic website Xvideos. The research is based on the Materialist Discourse Analysis, and the theoretical elaboration of the analysis is carried out from the designation aspect of the language. The object of the analysis is one of the millions of videos available on the site; the video exposes a female journalist in the exercise of her profession, presenting the weather forecast in a news program on the open television network. We consider that the relationship established between the video and the selected tags is related to the functioning of a sexualizing discursive formation, which naturalizes the effects of meaning related to the female body as a body-commodity existing in a patriarchal socio-historical-ideological conjuncture. |

A pesquisa se insere no campo da Análise Materialista do Discurso e a elaboração teórica da análise é realizada a partir da designação. Como objeto de análise, foi tomado um dos milhões de vídeos disponíveis no site, o qual expõe uma mulher jornalista no exercício da profissão, apresentando a previsão do tempo em um telejornal da rede aberta de televisão.
