Resumo: The main objective of this article is to analyze the use of PsychoPy in the investigation of the reading processing concerning the design, implementation and treatment of the results of two psycholinguistic experiments. To do so, the step-by-step assembly procedures of the Stroop test and a lexical decision task will be presented. In addition, the strengths and weaknesses of the program will be highlighted. We understand that this study is relevant because it covers the methodological challenges of experimental research in relation to the degree of difficulty in designing and applying the experiments. Thus, we hope to contribute to the dissemination of the resources made available by PsychoPy - an open-code, free and user-friendly software - to the Brazilian research.

Para tanto, o passo-a-passo da montagem de dois testes de leitura, a saber, o teste Stroop e de uma tarefa de decisão lexical, será apresentado. Além disso, os pontos fortes e fracos do programa serão salientados. Entende-se que este estudo é relevante no sentido de que abarca o desafio metodológico da pesquisa experimental em relação ao grau de dificuldade encontrado na elaboração e na aplicação dos experimentos.
