Resumo: | This paper emerges from theoretical discussions about the relationship between Brazilian rural education and popular education. The objective is to present some historical, conceptual and methodological aspects, as well as the political-pedagogical principles of these two educational projects, in order to understand which paths are necessary for the realization of education in an emancipatory perspective. In this perspective, we point out the concepts of emancipation, participation and social control, as being important to the basis of the discussions. The methodological approach is qualitative, with bibliographic and documentary characteristics. As conclusions, we understand that the paths for the realization of an emancipating education go through the involvement of the subjects in the formative processes that compose it. In this sense, it is necessary for the subjects involved in these processes to think and reflect collectively on their actions and, from this reflected action, build new ways of solving the problems of reality. |
