Popular education in integral care to the users of alcohol and other drugs: a possible way

Resumo: This manuscript brings the experience to a student action research with the aim of reflecting on the care of users of CAPS AD (Center for Psychosocial Care for Alcohol and other drugs). The research points to the need to strengthen the care network for these users and brings reflections on the “doing” in health currently adopted by society and health professionals. In this sense, the results indicate that a performance based on the methodological principles of Popular Education in Health emerges as a strategy for transforming the hegemonic model, considering the necessity of the population or group based on the reality in which they are inserted and their values.

A pesquisa aponta para a necessidade de fortalecimento da rede de cuidados a esses usuários e traz reflexões a respeito do “fazer” em saúde atualmente adotado pela sociedade e profissionais de saúde.
