Resumo: With the main objective of understanding, through cartography, how the subjectivation process of the soccer player in formation produces meanings about school education: the research that originates this article was motivated by this. What we present in this text is the result of cartography in a Brazilian soccer club and interviews conducted with ten players in the sub-15, sub-17 and sub-20 categories, and coaches and professionals of the club being researched. As a result, it has been found that school education for young players from poor families is presented through two possibilities: club school education or education for youth and adults. These young people are the most disadvantaged when the soccer dream does not materialize, since from an early age they opt for soccer as a profession and they give up a powerful school education. It was also observed that there are even few cases of university players who perceive the educational environment as an escape line to break the hegemonic pattern of sports training offered by the basic categories of Brazilian soccer.
