O ensino da produção cultural entre o mercado e a Universidade: um estudo de caso a partir da trajetória na graduação em produção cultural da Universidade Federal Fluminense

The labor conditions of cultural production have cultivated a neoliberal rationality, normalizing the precariousness of labor while holding workers accountable for individual success and for the success of the general economy. However, in the last twenty years there has been a quantitative growth of studies and teaching of cultural production. In this way, it is proposed to understand the professionalization of cultural producers between a critical formation within the University and a formation in the neoliberal market. The central question here is whether universities should adapt individuals to these market rules and / or should collaborate in building a confronting discourse. Therefore, a review was made of the mapping of cultural production teaching in Brazil, a study on the working conditions established in the Brazilian Classification of Occupations (CBO) and an analysis, from a semi-structured interview, of the trajectory of a recent graduate in the cultural production course of the Federal Fluminense University, State of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in order to understand how the teaching and contact with cultural policies in this space can modify an individual’s performance in the field.
