Self-trans-formation: popular education in the construction of knowledge about health for the trans population

Resumo: The articulations of trans people are given through guidelines, dealing basically with human rights. On these rights, the health field is one of the fields that makes it possible to follow this path. This article is an intervention research with the objective of knowing/intervening on the health of trans people from an intervention in education with resident health professionals. For this, the Circle of Culture Freirean methodology was used with the health professionals, the following subjects were produced: Education, Respect for differences, Their ears have walls and (De)Construction. It was possible to perceive the difficulty of handling the residents in relation to the demands of trans people. It can also be noticed that the methodology used managed to promote problematizations and a training space for these residents signaling a transformation in the current health scenario. Thus, it is noted that a democratic education can be a generator of change, because it affects, implies and can generate empathy. And this, with respect to the understanding of the health-disease process of trans people, seems to be fundamental in the change of realities.

Sobre esses direitos, o campo da saúde é um dos que possibilita o acompanhamento desse caminhar. Este artigo trata-se de uma pesquisa-intervenção com objetivo de conhecer sobre a saúde das pessoas trans a partir de uma intervenção em educação com profissionais de saúde residentes. Para isso, foi usada a metodologia freiriana do Círculo de Cultura com os profissionais de saúde. Foram produzidos os seguintes temas: Educação, Respeito às diferenças, Seus ouvidos têm paredes e (Des)Construção. Foi possível perceber a dificuldade de manejo dos residentes em relação às demandas das pessoas trans. Pode-se perceber ainda que a metodologia utilizada conseguiu promover problematizações e um espaço formativo a esses residentes, sinalizando uma transformação no cenário de saúde atual. Assim, nota-se que uma educação democrática pode ser geradora de mudanças, pois afeta, implica e pode gerar empatia.
