GROUNDWATER QUALITY OF THE GUARANI (GAIS) AND SERRA GERAL (SGAIS) AQUIFER INTEGRATED SYSTEM IN WESTERN SANTA CATARINA, BRAZIL

Resumo: | The objective of this work was to evaluate the groundwater quality of the Guarani/Serra Geral Integrated Aquifer System (GAIS / SGAIS) in a region located in the western part of the state of Santa Catarina. A total of 105 water wells were selected which five are exploring water from the Guarani Aquifer and 100 from the Serra Geral Aquifer. A sample of each well was submitted to microbiological (total coliforms and Escherichia coli) and physicochemical analyzes (dissolved oxygen, pH, turbidity, electrical conductivity, alkalinity, chlorides, fluorine, sulfates, potassium, sodium, calcium, magnesium, iron, manganese, nitrate). For analyze possible contamination by BTEX hydrocarbons (benzene, toluene, ethyl benzene, xylenes) the water of 25 wells in the urban environment was analyzed in strategic points close to possible risk of risk contamination agents. In another 25 wells in the rural area the water was collected for analyze the presence of glyphosate. Some groundwater with turbidity, pH, iron, manganese, total and thermotolerant coliforms were found in disagreement with Ministry of Health Ordinance 2914/2011. Furthermore, there was no BTEX and glyphosate contamination detected in any of the wells. |

Se seleccionaron ciento cinco pozos de agua, cinco de los cuales explotan el agua del acuífero Guaraní y 100 del acuífero Serra Geral. Una muestra de cada pocillo se sometió a análisis microbiológicos (coliformes totales y Escherichia coli) y fisicoquímicos (oxígeno disuelto, pH, turbidez, conductividad eléctrica, alcalinidad, cloruros, flúor, sulfatos, potasio, sodio, calcio, magnesio, hierro). manganeso y nitrato). Para analizar la posible contaminación por hidrocarburos BTEX (benceno, tolueno, etilbenceno, xilenos), se analizaron las aguas de 25 pozos en el entorno urbano en puntos estratégicos cerca del posible punto de riesgo de los contaminantes. En 25 pozos rurales, se recolectó agua para el análisis de presencia de glifosato. En algunas muestras de agua subterránea, se encontraron coliformes totales y termotolerantes, turbidez, pH, hierro y manganeso en desacuerdo con la Ordenanza 2914/2011 del Ministerio de Salud. Además, no se detectó contaminación con BTEX y glifosato en ninguno de los pozos.L'objectif de ce travail est d'évaluer la qualité des eaux souterraines du système aquifère intégré Guarani / Serra Geral (SAG / SASG) dans une région située à l'ouest de l'État de Santa Catarina. Cent cinq puits ont été sélectionnés, dont cinq exploitent les eaux de l'aquifère guarani et 100 de l'aquifère de Serra Geral. Un échantillon de chaque puits a été soumis à des analyses microbiologiques (coliformes totaux et Escherichia coli) et physico-chimiques (oxygène dissous, pH, turbidité, conductivité électrique, alcalinité, chlorures, fluorures, sulfates, potassium, sodium, calcium, magnésium, fer). manganèse et nitrate). Pour analyser la possible contamination par des hydrocarbures BTEX (benzène, toluène, éthylbenzène, xylènes), les eaux de 25 puits en milieu urbain ont été analysées à des points stratégiques proches du point de risque possible des contaminants. Dans 25 puits ruraux, de l'eau a été recueillie pour l'analyse de la présence de glyphosate. Certains échantillons d'eau souterraine, de coliformes totaux et thermotolérants, ont révélé des problèmes de turbidité, de pH, de fer et de manganèse en accord avec l'ordonnance du ministère de la Santé n ° 2914/2011 et aucune contamination par des BTEX et du glyphosate n'a été détectée dans aucun des puits.O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar a qualidade da água subterrânea do Sistema Aquífero Integrado Guarani / Serra Geral (SAG / SASG) em uma região localizada no oeste do estado de Santa Catarina. Foram selecionados 105 poços de água, dos quais cinco explotam água do Aquífero Guarani e 100 do Aquífero Serra Geral. Uma amostra de cada poço foi submetida a analises microbiológicas (coliformes totais e Escherichia coli) e físico-químicas (oxigênio dissolvido, pH, turbidez, condutividade elétrica, alcalinidade, cloretos, flúor, sulfatos, potássio, sódio, cálcio, magnésio, ferro, manganês e nitrato). Para analisar a possível contaminação por hidrocarbonetos BTEX (benzeno, tolueno, etilbenzeno, xilenos) as águas de 25 poços no ambiente urbano foram analisadas em pontos estratégicos próximos ao possível ponto de riscos dos agentes contaminadores. Em 25 poços na área rural, a água foi coletada para análise da presença de glifosato. Em algumas amostras de águas subterrâneas foram encontrados coliformes totais e termotolerantes, turbidez, pH, ferro e manganês em desacordo com a Portaria 2914/2011 do Ministério da Saúde.
