Resumo: Este trabalho pretende apresentar uma discussão acerca da reestruturação produtiva e suas conseqüências nas diversas áreas humanas, perpassando desde as mudanças do processo produtivo até a tentativa - e em alguns casos a concretização - da modificação das leis trabalhistas, de forma a prejudicar a classe trabalhadora. A reestruturação produtiva como chave para o entendimento das mudanças globais que influenciam a vida cotidiana é o método utilizado pelo capitalismo para expandir e acumular o capital, aumentando a produtividade e a lucratividade. O trabalho tem por objetivo mostrar as diversas fases do capitalismo, suas mudanças e as conseqüências que as mesmas exerceram e exercem na atualidade.
