This technical note brings to the debate for the scientific community the effects and consequences of the Covid-19 arround the world an outbreak that began in China. To do a better approach for the subject of this article, the authors analysis the harmful effects of the pandemic and its effects on conflicts, the consequences of pandemic viruses for humanity and their effects on health. Under the economic area, the effects of Covid-19 on workers' income and the instruments adopted by the States, within social politics, are analyzed. In the end, the importance of the role played by the World Health Organization (WHO) is highlighted, especially through the International Health Regulations to establish guidelines on health protection and combating Covid-19. The method used was qualitative, through research in books and specialized scientific articles. The main objective and result was to analyze and highlight the importance of WHO and its instruments in combating Covid-19.
