Resumo: Dengue has impacted public health in recent decades. In the Federal District, epidemics have been recurrent and record number of cases registered. Although it presents seasonal patterns, its transmission is associated with the organization of urban and environmental dynamics. This article aims to analyze the spatio-temporal dynamics of dengue in the urban space of the Federal District between 2014 and 2019. Geostatistical analysis were used to identify dengue epidemic loops. The geographic scale was composed of the urban areas used by the Health Department of the Federal District. The temporal analysis occurred for biennium, from the start date and the duration in epidemiological weeks. We sought to verify the spatio-temporal pattern of the disease, infer the transmission speed and identify the areas of greatest persistence. It was observed that there is no spatio-temporal homogeneity regarding the beginning and duration of epidemic loops. There are differences in the process of dispersion and speed of transmission in epidemic and non-epidemic periods. The patterns of dispersion are related to climatological seasonality and the occurrence of cases presents 'nuclei', of which certain areas tend to disperse the disease to adjacent areas, that need more attention to prevent the spread of the disease were identified.
