Resumo: | Objective: To identify centers of occurrence of American Tegumentary Leishmaniasis in rural areas, in the State of Paraná, evaluating annual incidence rates, calculated over rural population. Methodology: used the DATASUS/SINAN database (2001-2015). The definition of the occurrence poles used the 2007-2015 series. Analysis maps of absolute cases by municipality and annual incidence rates/100,000 inhabitants were prepared for the total and for rural population only. Population data involved projections from 2001 to 2015. Socio-environmental aspects were analyzed. Results: Seven centers of LTA of rural occurrence were identified in the period: The municipalities that presented the highest rates of occurrence, considering rural areas/100,000 inhabitants, and the centers of LTA, in the centers, were: Jussara (567/100,000 inhabitants ), Japurá (418), São Jorge do Ivaí (377), Doutor Camargo (247), Ivatuba (233), São Tomé (221), Terra Boa (143), Tuneiras do Oeste (114) and Cianorte (98), everyone on the pole (b) Jussara; Adrianópolis (209) and Cerro Azul (60), in the pole (a) Adrianópolis-; Lobato (113), at pole (g) Icaraíma (86), at pole (e) Bandeirantes (79), at pole (c) Bandeirantes. The poles (d) Londrina and (f) Lindoeste - are broad and diffuse, with less significant occurrence rates. The rates calculated only over the rural population give the dimension of the high incidence in rural áreas (countryside). |

Metodologia: utilizou a base dados do DATASUS/SINAN (2001-2015).
