Resumo: This article reveals the connection between the teaching–learning process in the accountability career and the different stages in the life cycle of the professors related to this career. The objective of this article is to stand the relevance of the variable ̈ Professional Life Cycle ̈, just to sense in a higher degree the present problems in the teaching –learning process. It also suggests that methodological strategies are sadly lacking in the first stages which prevents how to face them eventually. The sample comprised 574 professors of this career from different universities in Brazil. A descriptive statistical method as wells as the Kruskal -Wallis test to assess the connection between the major problems within the process under analysis which includes five (5) stages in the life cycle of the professors related to this career. It was evidenced that all problems within the process, tend to affect in a higher degree those who are in the first stage of the life cycle.

A amostra foi composta por 574 professores dessa carreira em diferentes centros universitários do Brasil. A estatística descritiva e o teste de Kruskal-Wallis foram utilizados para a relação dos problemas de maior manifestação do processo estudado e 5 fases do ciclo de vida do professor. Ficou evidenciado que os problemas presentes no processo em estudo são percebidos em maior magnitude pelos professores que estão na primeira fase do seu ciclo de vida.Este artículo discute la relación entre los problemas que actualmente manifiesta el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje de la carrera de Contabilidad y las fases del ciclo de vida de los docentes que participan en ese proceso, trazándose como objetivo significar la relevancia de la variable "Ciclo de Vida Profesional" para percibir con mayor grado de sensibilidad los problemas presentes en el proceso de enseñanza- aprendizaje actual, sugiriendo carencias metodológicas en las primeras fases que limitan el enfrentamiento de estos problemas. La muestra estuvo constituida por 574 docentes de esta carrera en diferentes centros universitarios de Brasil. Se empleó la estadística descriptiva y la prueba de Kruskal-Wallis para la relación de los problemas de mayor manifestación del proceso estudiado y 5 fases del ciclo de vida del docente.
