Five types of historical intercultural narratives in the currículum

Resumo: In this pedagogical and theoretical essay, I present a typology of five types of historical narrative and interculturality in the curriculum in Latina America. The five types are a) the nationalist monoculturalism, b) Universal history or the erudite multiculturalism, c) the liberal multiculturalist history, d) intercultural historical consciousness and e) critical and decolonial narratives. In the first part of the essay, I include some theoretical issues about historical narrative and interculturality, in the second I describe one by one of the five types of historical narratives and finally, I write about the relationship between historical narrative, interculturality, and curricular justice.

En el texto, se presentan cinco tipologías que enmarcan las narraciones históricas y su relación con la interculturalidad más comunes en la educación latinoamericana. Estos tipos son: a) la narración nacionalista monocultural; b) la historia universal o el multiculturalismo erudito; c) la historia liberal multicultural; d) la consciencia histórica intercultural; y e) las narrativas históricas críticas y decoloniales. En la primera parte se presentan algunos aspectos teóricos sobre la narración. Posteriormente se describen cada uno de los tipos narrativos y, al final, se reflexiona sobre la relación entre narración, interculturalidad y justicia curricular para la enseñanza de la historia en América Latina.Um ensaio pedagógico teórico sobre a relação entre narração histórica no currículo do ensino obrigatório e ensino intercultural de história é apresentado aqui. No texto, são apresentadas cinco tipologias que enquadram as narrativas históricas e sua relação com a interculturalidade mais comum na educação latino-americana. Esses tipos são: a) a narrativa nacionalista monocultural; b) história universal ou multiculturalismo acadêmico; c) a história liberal multicultural; d) consciência histórica intercultural; ee) interculturalidade crítica e descolonial. Na primeira parte, são apresentados alguns aspectos teóricos sobre a narração.
