Percentage of antioxidant activities of crude extract, ethyl acetate and hydro-methanolic fractions were determinate by inhibition of the DPPH and ABTS radical in comparison with BHT standard. Results for DPPH assay showed highest antioxidant activity performance for crude extract (76%), followed by ethyl acetate (46%) and hydro-methanolic (23%) fractions. These results were corroborated by ABTS assay. Total phenolic content was evaluated by Folin-Ciocalteau colorimetric method and showed a significant amount of those molecules in crude extract (140.6 ± 7.7 mg GAE.g-1), followed by ethyl acetate (67.1 ± 4.7 mg GAE.g-1) and hydro-methanolic fraction (13.5±8.2 GAE.g-1).
