Crianças com diagnóstico de transtornos mentais: espaços de cuidado

This study refers to an integrative literature review based on a guiding question: What care do families receive when their children are diagnosed with mental disorders? In order to answer this questioning, we searched the data platforms Adolec, Lilacs, Redalyc, BVS / Pepsic and Scielo, using the following inclusion criteria: articles of qualitative or quantitative research or literature review, published in Portuguese among the years 2007 and 2017 were selected. Twelve articles published between 2007 and 2015 were analyzed, and the analysis of these results allowed grouping the results into two topics: Confrontations found by the caregivers of these children and Services that help these caregivers. Difficulties in finding a social support network, obstacles in access to health services and accurate diagnosis, as well as impacts to the caregiver's emotional health were identified as confrontations. Among the aids, the Psychosocial Attention Center (CAPS) was identified as the main mechanism, in addition to the psychology school services, the Family Health Strategy (ESF) and the school environment. It was verified the importance of enabling these caregivers a listening and welcoming space, be it done by one of the services qualified for this care, or through the construction of a support network, which may in fact be an aid and care those who they care.
