This study aimed to develop an economic feasibility study for the implementation of a photovoltaic microgeneration system in a small industry in the municipality of Iporá, in the state of Goiás. For the study of the implementation of the photovoltaic solar power generation system and the analysis of the economic viability, first, a literature review was carried out, covering the main topics of the subject. Next, an analysis of the consumption data of the small industry was carried out through the eletricity bills. The location's solar irradiation data, in addition to the industry's electricity consumption, were the basis for the dimensioning of the photovoltaic solar power generation system. From the dimensioned, it was possible to obtain the values of the main components of a solar generation system for the implementation of the project. Finally, the payback time for that project was calculated. The results of this study showed that the implementation of a solar power generation system, in the small industry, is economically viable and has the advantage of reducing the distributor's dependence on electricity. This study chose to scale photovoltaic generation to meet 93% of the electric power demand needed to supply the industry. As a result, the industry will need only 7% of electric power from the distributor.
