Resumo: | The research presented here is about a set of situations that unites Visual Art and Macumba, focusing on painting, which is the practical work provided by this paper. It consists of a brief personal analysis about where I place myself in the theme, and then walks towards a concept of macumba, which, like art, I believe to be something mutable. There is a comparative between macumba and Afro-Brazilian religions, as well as their importance to brazilian culture and to this work. In face of this set, I emphasize here the importance of this culture for history and for both modern and contemporary Brazilian art. Approaching some of my own works, I had the possibility to think about the path of this project, tracing an analysis between the religious context of African matrix in Brazil with five visual artists, who represent a lot for the country, for art in general, and also for Afro-Brazilian history. The results were a creation that inserted the research in a plastic environment, in which I recreate eleven spiritual entities, present in the macumba cults, using digital painting as a mean to achieve my goal, and this is the most important part of the work, because the whole context created before revolves around these paintings and the research for them. Based on that, the work seeks to break through the prejudices that involve such rituals an cultures, placing macumba as a main part of Brazilian culture and highlighting the spiritual entities mentioned throughout the research. |

Consiste em uma breve análise pessoal sobre onde me insiro no tema e, logo, caminha para um conceito de macumba, que assim como a arte, acredito ser algo mutável. Há um comparativo entre a macumba e as religiões afro-brasileiras, assim como a importância de ambas para a cultura brasileira e para este trabalho. Diante desse conjunto, destaco aqui a importância dessa cultura para a história e para as artes moderna e contemporânea brasileiras. Abordando algumas obras próprias, tive a possibilidade de pensar no caminho desse trabalho, traçando uma análise entre o contexto religioso de matriz africana no Brasil com cinco artistas visuais, que representam muito para o país, para a Arte em um modo geral e, também, para a história afro-brasileira. O resultado foi uma criação que inseriu a pesquisa em meios plásticos, na qual recrio onze entidades espirituais, presentes nos cultos da macumba, usando a pintura digital como meio para alcançar meu objetivo, sendo está a parte mais importante do trabalho, pois todo o contexto criado antes gira em torno dessas obras e investigações para as mesmas.
