Resumo: The benefits gained from using BIM are increasingly being widespread among professionals in the Architecture, Civil Engineering and Construction(AEC) Industry, and it is possible to observe a tendency of project companies to migrate to this work methodology, but this does not occur easily. The general objective of this work is to evaluate the use of BIM technology by professionals from the AEC industry of Uberlândia, as well as its use in the various stages of project management (planning, execution and monitoring). The development of this work took place by the method of data collection through field research. The analyzes performed were supported by answers of na online questionnaire, wich were obtained from several companies and professionals working in the construction sector of Uberlândia. The difficulties of implementation, benefits and expectations of companies regarding the use of BIM were explored. The results indicate a growing trend in the use of this technology in the region, as well as a shortage of BIM professionals.

É possível observar uma tendência das empresas de projeto em migrar para essa metodologia de trabalho, embora isso não ocorra facilmente. O objetivo geral deste trabalho é avaliar o uso da metodologia BIM por profissionais da indústria AEC da cidade de Uberlândia, bem como sua utilização nas diversas etapas da gestão de projetos (planejamento, execução e acompanhamento). O desenvolvimento deste trabalho se deu pelo método de levantamento de dados em pesquisa de campo. Com o auxílio de um questionário online, foram obtidas respostas de diversas empresas e profissionais liberais atuantes no setor da Construção Civil de Uberlândia, que fundamentaram as análises realizadas. Foram exploradas as dificuldades de implantação, benefícios observados e expectativas das empresas quanto ao uso do BIM.
