Índice de capacidade para o trabalho (ICT): uma avaliação da capacidade laboral dos profissionais de enfermagem portadores de doenças crônicas não transmissíveis

This study aimed to investigate the occurrence and prevalence of chronic noncommunicable diseases in the Nursing team of the Hospital de Clínicas of the Federal University of Uberlândia (HC-UFU) in the medical clinic sector, as well as to evaluate its relation with illness, prevention and work capacity of these workers. For that, a theoretical reflection on the Work Capability Index (ICT) and non-transmissible chronic diseases with a focus on hypertension, diabetes mellitus and dyslipidemia were carried out; Identification of the occurrence of these chronic noncommunicable diseases in the nursing team of the Medical Clinic of the HCUFU through the application of the ICT questionnaire and analysis of the relationship of chronic noncommunicable diseases with the process of prevention, illness and work capacity of nursing professionals . This study is expected to assist in the identification of chronic noncommunicable diseases as well as contribute to the reduction of their impacts on the labor capacity. . Among the interviewees with CDNT, we can observe that the great majority presented MODERATED Capacity for Work Index, followed by a Capacity for Work BOA and a small part presented LOW Capacity for Work, and no participant of the CNTD carrier presented a ICT considered GREAT. This study also observed that CDNT interfere with the ability to work when correlated to long working hours and the age group from 31 to 40 years.
