Estação Meteorológica de Baixo Custo: Uma contribuição para o monitoramento meteorológico das cidades

Extreme weather events occur all over the planet. Due to their size, occurrence frequency and frequency become sources of concern, especially in urban areas, which, in addition to the infrastructure problems, do not have a monitoring and alert system to deal with these events. In this context, this study aimed at the creation and development of a low cost meteorological monitoring system, geared to the needs of management and prevention of risks generated by climatic events in urban space. For that, a bibliographical research was elaborated on the subject, based mainly on knowledge of the area of Geography, Electronic Engineering, Automation and Control, Information Technology and Physics. This knowledge was the basis for the design and construction of equipment. Web technology was also used as a tool for data transmission and storage on a platform based on the Internet of Things concept. The low-cost components are purchased in online stores and local commerce, with the lowest value and highest performance as a parameter. After the equipment was assembled and tested, a comparison was made between the low cost station data with the INMET meteorological station, installed in the UFU Campus Santa Mônica, and a reliability degree was measured in the data collected between 92% and 100%. It was concluded that the EMBC is feasible both financially and scientifically, due to the low cost of the components and also in the practical aspects of its assembly, systems implementation. It should also be noted that there are margins to increase the accuracy of the data, by means of logical measurement in the sensors, considering the locations of each station.
