ABSTRACT This academic memorial aims to report the academic trajectory of the student Katia Tatiane de Oliveira, during her walk in the Pedagogy course held at the Federal University of Uberlândia –UFU-. The work will present the results obtained with what has been chosen - Concept of geography for children in the early years of schooling - the result was obtained through bibliographical research and will be added to the knowledge obtained throughout the course. The concepts are mixed and, in some situations, the research shows a confusion between the old geography and the current one. Globalization has brought to school benches a new vision of the subject that was previously known only for decorating maps and places. The work will present the most active and dynamic geography, focused on the concepts of space and nature, a subject that seeks to bring together history and economy in order to form a more current concept. The global dynamic could not occur and leave the impression that geography is only for localization. It is much more than that, it is the conscious location of your space, the environment you live in, the environmental and economic issues that influence the entire community and the world population. Thus, by getting to know the subject better, interest in the subject will increase, allowing for a more critical and conscious view of the space each one occupies in this world.
