Currently, with the advancement of technology in the medical field, procedures that use ionizing radiation, such as interventional radiology (IR), have been increasingly common. This technique is widely used, both for adults and children. However, the latter group presents special conditions, when related to ionizing radiation use, especially in the received dose during IR procedures. Thus, the study in question makes a bibliographic review on the doses received by pediatric patients in IR procedures. Therefore, for the research to be carried out, online searches were made about papers related to the theme. Thus, annotations were made, intending to separate data and main information to help the study. For this, the results obtained in the selected papers are analyzed. Furthermore, it is observed that IR in pediatrics still has problems related to radiation doses, which can reach high values, thus generating concerns with this group of patients, who have a higher radiosensitivity than in adults.
