This paper has as its theme, memory and its relationship with images. In it are explored the cocepts of memory itself, of forgetfulness and of remembrance-images to structure the basis of the research discussion, aiming to establish what are these mental tools and how they function. Making use of the writings of authors such as Maurice Halbwachs, Frances Yates and Paul Ricoeur, it encounters the tasks of acquirement, storage and evocation of pieces of information that are performed by the memory; the task of erasure, befitting to the forgetfulness; and the long and close relationship that exists between memory and imagery. The paper also touches the roles, and the differences, between collective memory and individual memory, as well as those of childhood remembrances, which represent a frame of a whole fundamental life period; in order to understand the impact that such influences have over the creation of memory pictures, finding the strength of the collective aspect and the discretion of the sewing made by the individual to create its memory. It also presents the practical production of a series of drawings that represent the process of recovering childhood remembrances, the crossing of the veil of oblivion to remember them and the confuse and nebulous aspect of the imagetic interiority of the memory; as well as reports on the creation of the series and the exhibition that was held with the drawings.
