Introduction: Efficient hospital medical material management can help reduce hospital costs and waste materials. Purpose: To verify the control of Hospital Medical Materials in the Emergency Room of the Hospital of Clinics of Uberlândia (HC-UFU) after the installation of a decentralized pharmacy. A non-experimental study, with a transverse character, descriptive type in quantitative form. Collection of data before and after the implementation of the decentralized pharmacy. Analyzed the distribution of four kits of procedures: Healing, Oxygen therapy, Peripheral venous puncture and Vesical probing of delay. Results: In 2017 with the creation of the pharmacy located in the Emergency Room began to use the distribution of kits of materials to facilitate the service. The average distribution of kits in the months of August to December / 2017 were 1,600 kits and in the year 2018 we obtained an average distribution kits for 2,010 annual kits. There are a number of material distribution gaps in some months of the years under study and there is discrepancy of data released regarding distributed quantity of the procedures in question with the billed value of the procedures performed. However, it was not possible to compare material distribution data in the emergency room of HC-UFU prior to the decentralization of the pharmacy, since with the change of the material management system it was not possible to collect data prior to the installation of the pharmacy. Conclusion: It was concluded that the decentralization of the pharmacy of the Pronto Socorro assisted the professionals in the direction of the reduction of the locomotion route, but there are flaws in the control of hospital medical materials and the lack of nursing annotation leads to non-billing procedures causing costs the hospital institution, which makes it necessary to aid audits.
