This research sought to analyze the influence of the COVID-19 pandemic on the economic and financial indicators presented by cyclical consumer companies that operate in the commerce subsector listed on the B3. Considering the selected segment, the research sample consisted of 19 companies. Data were collected from the Economatica® database, covering the period from 2015 to 2021, comprising the survey of economic and financial indicators. The collected data were organized in Microsoft Excel® software and analyzed with the aid of Stata statistical software. The survey results showed that the indicators of the observed companies had already been showing fluctuations before the pandemic period. However, it should be noted that some indicators showed their worst results in 2020 and 2021, such as Asset Turnover, Net Margin and Return on Equity. In general terms, it cannot be inferred that the pandemic period actually interfered in the indicators of the companies observed, leaving a more detailed observation in relation to other information that allows inferring this relationship.
