The expansion of several crops including wheat in Brazil was only possible due to great advances regarding the use of quality seeds and the use of irrigation. Rains can cause delays in harvesting, leaving seeds exposed to adversity and possibly cause deterioration. Thus, the objective was to evaluate the delay in harvesting, with precipitation artificial, on the quality and production of wheat seeds under different irrigation depths. Two experiments were carried out. The production of wheat seeds took place in São Paulo State University, Campus Dracena, using irrigation depths referring to 70% and 100% of ETo. The following field evaluations were carried out: productivity of seeds, number of ears, plant heights, ear length and chlorophyll content (SPAD). The experiment was installed in a randomized block design, in a factorial scheme. 4 x 2 (lots x irrigation blades) with three repetitions. After physiological maturity, a part of the seeds were harvested and the rest of the field was delayed. harvesting with the simulation of precipitation through irrigation. The second experiment was conducted at the Seed Laboratory of the Federal University of Uberlândia. Was evaluated to physiological quality of seeds through the germination test. The design was of randomized blocks in a 4 x 2 x 3 factorial scheme (lots x irrigation depths x delay harvest with artificial precipitation), with 3 three repetitions. The irrigation depth with 100% of the ETo increase the components of wheat seed production. the delay of harvest associated with artificial precipitation reduces seed germination.
