This study presentes the relevance of financial education as an economic socialization factor that must be implemented since childhood in order to support knowledge that will affect people’s own quality of life. Research was also carried out, applied to the population formed by students from the first periods of the Accounting Sciences Course, from a public institution in the State of Minas Gerais, during the two semesters of the year 2020, totaling 58 students whit the objective of understanding the level of education of students, the importance of knowledge about financial education, as well as the extent to which this knowledge is taken into everyday life, giving sustainability to a healthier financial life. The result found was a greater perception, demonstrating that the knowledge involving skills and technique is still a gap in the curricular matrices. In this of trying to identify and highlight the gaps regarding the financial education of students entering the Accounting Sciences Course.
