Finanças pessoais: uma análise do perfil financeiro dos discentes e seus cursos de graduação

This article aims to identify the existence or not of association between the undergraduate courses of the Faculty of Management, Accounting, Production Engineering and Social Work (FACES) of the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU) and the financial profiles of its students. This descriptive study, with quantitative approach, was conducted through bibliographic research and data collection, and its data analysis was performed using descriptive statistical calculations, correspondence analysis and perceptual maps using the SPSS software. For data collection, a questionnaire consisting of two blocks of questions was used, the first block consisting of 21 statements related to behavior, management and financial planning and the second block with 10 sociodemographic questions, obtaining 520 valid answered questionnaires. The results indicate that: a) most male students tend to have a controlled financial profile and female students do not have a profile trend; b) the students of the researched courses present different perceptions about their spending levels; and c) most students in the Production Engineering course tend to have a Controlled Financial Profile, while most students in the Social Work course tend toward the Debt Profile.
