Reabilitação profissional oferecida pelo INSS em Uberlândia em 2017: causas, processos e consequências

Sick workers reintegration is a public policy that involves knowledge about work, health and education. This research aimed to understand the basic profile of the worker into the INSS´ rehabilitation program in Uberlândia/MG, as well as the contributing factors to its success. About methodology, the research is a quantitative and qualitative oriented study and analyses secondary data, extracted by INSS professionals from the physical processes. The workers dismissed by the program in 2017 are the analysis unit. The text describes the INSS´ proceedings, the workers profile and the amount of workers that come back to their jobs. Besides, the research identifies which factors increase the chances of rehabilitation and compares features in individuals, processes and rehabilitation. Results indicates the public service has strong points (for example, high levels of work re-entry and good filters for workers who will be re-trained or re-educated in the program) and improval opportunities (lack of electronic data bank, lots of workers incorrectly sent to the program, high maintenance time, and others). In conclusion, the expectations supported by the literature are confirmed by some sample´s features, and denied by others. In the end, it suggests alternatives to the rehabilitation process as it is. The resulting technological products are a good situation diagnosis, and useful, low-cost e high-replying managing tools (electronic data bank and describing analytics). These informations are able to support executive decisions tasks.
