In this work will be realized a brief study of network topologies, architectures and the main means of wireless transmission. In the second chapter, it will cover the network layers: physical and link layer, and the main mechanisms of these. The third chapter will explain some of the Mobile Ad hoc Networks unicast protocols, of which are divided into proactive, reactive, and hybrid. And in the fourth chapter, will explain some of the main features of the QoS architecture, and the justified needs of providing quality of service for the Mobile Ad hoc Networks, in addition to the scheduling and signaling mechanisms. In the last chapter, the Optimized Network Engineering Tools software will be presented, and using it, different proposals within the Mobile Ad hoc Networks will be approached, against several scenarios with: variable mobility, node diversity, and different applications. In these, will be applied quality of service concepts and check how they influence the results. All these data will be represented by graphs, allowing important conclusions to be made for this study.
