Discursos radiofônicos sobre os ídolos do futebol: um gesto de olhar para a narração da final da Copa do Mundo de 1970

Resumo: The focus of this work is on understanding how football broadcasting on the radio, by Rádio Nacional, discursively builds the national idols of the said sport, focusing on the athletes of the Brazilian National Team of the 1970 World Cup (Pelé, Gérson, Jairzinho, and Rivellino). The methodology used was developed in a discursive analysis, by basing itself on Michel Foucault, to observe the discursive regularities present in the chosen narration as an object. The obtained result is established in an in-depth observation about the discursive techniques in the narration which makes it possible to conclude that football idols are products of a communicative mechanism that puts the present, the past, and other discourses already verbalized, all together. The final remarks of the research demonstrate that the narration of Rádio Nacional created a scenario that made possible the creation of Brazilian football idols at that time and this persists until today, due to the productions of meaning that traverse football communication.
