O Sensível e o (in)visível: A distribuição diferencial de visibilidade entre artistas dissidentes de gênero e sexualidade

Resumo: This research aims to discuss the regimes of visibility to which Brazilian music productions by gender and sexuality dissent artists (2015-2021) are subjected. Our analysis particularly focuses on the possible relationships established between the sensible elements that constitute these arts and their potential visibilities. The hypothesis we work with is that there is a differential distribution of the possibility of being visible that operates aesthetically, authorizing or denying artistic quality, public interest, and the ways of seeing and hearing certain productions from a matrix of intelligibility that reduces the diverse to a pattern of its own, reflecting cis-heteronormative characteristics. As a theoretical framework, we draw on post-structuralist contributions that engage with queer perspectives in gender and sexuality studies, including Judith Butler, Teresa de Lauretis, Paul Preciado, Michel Foucault, and Jacques Rancière.

Nossa análise atém-se especialmente nas possíveis relações que se estabelecem entre os elementos sensíveis que constituem essas artes e suas visibilidades possíveis. A hipótese com a qual trabalhamos é de que existe uma distribuição diferencial da possibilidade de se estar visível que opera esteticamente autorizando ou negando a qualidade artística, o interesse público e as formas de ver e ouvir determinadas produções a partir de uma matriz de inteligibilidade que reduz a multiplicidade transviada a um padrão que lhe é próprio, mas que reflete características cis-heteronormativas.
