Feminicídio no jornalismo popular: análise de notícias sobre o assassinato de mulheres no jornal super notícia

Resumo: Femicide is the most extreme manifestation of violence against a woman and, despite its real closeness, it is through the media that such crime takes shape and the public becomes acquainted with cases of women killed for gender reasons. Considering the growth of popular appeal newspapers and the way they approach the woman figure and violence at their covers, we propose in this research to analyze how the popular newspaper Super Notícias, one of the largest circulation newspapers in Minas Gerais, approached news about femicides. We used the Content Analysis as proposed by Bauer (2002), which considers two moments: a definition of sampling and the creation and application of analysis operators. The results obtained show that Super Notícias used text and graphics that exploit femicides without making a real contribution to changing societal behavior

Considerando o crescimento dos jornais de caráter popular e a maneira como abordam em suas capas a figura da mulher e a violência como um dos seus principais eixos temáticos, propomos neste trabalho analisar como o jornal popular Super Notícia, um dos periódicos com maior tiragem em Minas Gerais, aborda em suas manchetes e páginas internas as notícias sobre feminicídios. Usamos a Análise de Conteúdo proposta por Bauer (2002), que considera dois momentos: a definição da amostragem e a criação e aplicação dos operadores de análise.
