The Generated Travel Poles (PGV) are responsible for attracting several vehicles, causing numerous positive and negative impacts on the region in which they are located. In Uberlândia, Minas Gerais, a recent PGV is the Campus Glória, an additional campus of the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU), which caused great social and environmental transformations. One of the ways of studying the behavior of a region, with a focus on the vegetation, of any area, is using remote sensing, based on the Vegetation Index by Normalized Differen ce (NDVI), which monitors and evaluates the vegetation. In this sense, the objective of this research is to generate the NDVI for the years 2010, 2015 and 2022, using the Landsat 5 and Landsat 8 satellites, in order to understand the impacts caused by the PGV Campus Glória. Data collected in January 2023 indicated a large reduction in vegetation in the region, being reduced from 0.5, in 2010, to up to -0.06 in certain locations within the area. The various constructions carried out to accommodate the PGV under study are largely responsible for these changes in land use and occupation.
