Análise de indicadores de manutenção dos desfibriladores/cardioversor do Hospital de Clínicas de Uberlândia da Universidade Federal de Uberlândia

Arterial fibrillation affects 2.5% of the world population, with a higher prevalence among the elderly, and this figure is equivalent to about 175 million people and is one of the biggest reasons for sudden deaths in hospitals. Therefore, defibrillation, using the defibrillator / cardioverter, is the external intervention that uses electric shocks applied to the patient with the purpose of making the heart function properly again. It is standardized that all premises with a high circulation of persons must be equipped with the defibrillator and establish periodic maintenance of the equipment. Thus, the present study used an exploratory methodology and presents an analysis of the indicators of corrective maintenance of defibrillators / cardioversors of Hospital de Clínicas de Uberlândia, Federal University of Uberlândia. The hospital has the BioEngineering sector, which is responsible for all the technological park of medical-assistance equipment, the research was carried out in the sector, based on the data collection of the existing maintenance management system in the sector, the SisBiE, in the period of January 2014 to May 2019. We found 53 active equipments, of 4 different brands. The indicators used were: Mean Time of Repair (MTTR), Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) and Availability (DISP), and calculated by the form determined by BioEngiería and also by the form found in the literature, and a comparison was made of the results obtained. The results showed that the equipment of the B mark was the one that obtained the best indicators, but it is not possible to present a conclusive result between the marks only by the study of the indicators, because there are other factors to be analyzed that were not part of the context of this work.
