Beef cattle farming has been growing and intensifying more and more, winning the animal protein market. One of the critical points of beef production is reproduction, since this is essentially linked to the final product, which is the calf. The objective of this work was to evaluate the incidence of pregnancy loss in Nellore females from the Capim Branco Farm at the Federal University of Uberlândia, located in the municipality of Uberlândia, in the state of Minas Gerais. Ninety-six Nellore females were artificially inseminated following an ovulation synchronization protocol based on progesterone and estrogen during the 2021/2022 breeding seasons. Pregnancy diagnosis was performed by ultrasound examination 28 to 32 days after TAI and confirmed after 45 days. Embryo loss was considered when the cow was pregnant in the first exam and empty in the confirmation exam. Females were separated by category into multiparous, primiparous, heifers and precocious heifers. Pregnancy rate by fixed-time artificial insemination was 53% for multiparous, 36.67% for primiparous, 38.23% in heifers and 44% in early heifers. Pregnancy loss rates of 11.53, 0, 0 and 18.18% were also observed for the respective categories. It is concluded that the analyzed farm has good quality in terms of sanitary, nutritional and reproductive management, as the pregnancy and pregnancy loss rates are within the expected range. Furthermore, it was observed that the rates of pregnancy loss in multiparous and precocious heifers are higher, possibly being related to changes in the quality of the oocyte and reproductive tract of these categories.
