This monograph consists of a relationship between practical and theoretical research in the field of painting, including a critical analysis of the plastic work entitled Autorretrato, developed as a final project for graduation. The study aims to understand the relationship between the intimate space inside the houses that I have lived in with the construction of my identity, crossing autobiographical territories. For this purpose, the research is based on two main concepts, memory and displacement, approached theoretically, through philosophical and personal reflections. The research is also supported by a historical resumption within the History of Art, on the proposed theme, analyzing its development within the artistic movements, where I establish possible relations with the visualities of my work. In short, the series, composed of five paintings, is the result of questions explored and reflections throughout the structure of the text, materialized through formal aspects, which are manifested through symbolic elements, chromaticity, and compositional cutouts.
