Radiology has been a technique very used since its discovery, because it provides an internal visualization of the body structure without using totally invasive method. In this sense, then, there is a need to have a better preparation and care with the radiology procedure, so that the patients and employees involved in the process are not exposed in an inadequate way to the ionizing radiations. Therefore, this work contemplates an analysis on radiological protection in an interventional radiology room. This analysis includes personal and additional protection for occupationally exposed individuals, until the adequacy of the room so to ensure the safety of patients and medical staff. As a result of this work, it was noticed that the interventional radiology room, evaluated in this study, complies with most of the requirements of the national standards, needing some adjustments so that all the requirements are followed.
