Currently, the Design discipline is inserted in many contexts, and has been discussed from several perspectives, but all indicate that its main responsibility lies in designing solutions to improve the quality of human life. Design, therefore, is an activity intrinsically linked to the human being. For this reason, the designer is asked to contribute: to imagine scenarios and translate them into desirable visions of products and services that are characterized by the relationship with the territory and with its community and, in this way, stimulate the recognition of its identity. This definition and the belief of the useful application of the tools of this area in socio-cultural innovations support the idea of ​​uniting the focus on the man, environment and their habits present in this project, which aims to contribute to a systemic discontinuity very present at present: that of not consuming responsibly our food and the use of industrial products to the detriment of local and manual. The objective of this work is to highlight and boost the image and the perception of the territory through the design through the realization of a project action in the enterprise denominated Feirinha Solidária of UFU. The support of the foundation and creation of the project were guidelines for sustainable and strategic design, as well as references of social innovation, in order to value the Feirinha initiative, which proposes a new way of living, consuming and producing. The methodology adopted in the research contemplates literature review, use of questionnaires and case study to base new creations and comparisons in the market. It is concluded in this project that the design is applicable in several areas of study and practices, being essential for the innovation and success of projects.
