The survey was conducted in the city of Uberlândia, located in the middle region of Triangulo Mineiro / Alto Parnaíba, in the State of Minas Gerais. This dissertation addresses the peasants of the rural community Olhos d Água, in their mode of production and reproduction of livelihoods. The rural community established in the Community Council Olhos d água, is located in the northeastern portion of Uberlândia, MG, very close to the urban area, it is made up mainly by peasants. This master's research seeks to study the mechanisms and strategies that have been developed by peasant rural community under study. The work has the general objective to perform an analysis of the local forms of peasant existence, considering their productive logic in the rural community Olhos D'Água in Uberlândia-MG. The approach seeks to encompass the production, territorial bonds, productive knowledge and also an assessment of public policies to meet these farmers. multiple productive relationships make up the Brazilian countryside. Many of them are led by peasants, considered as a social group composed of individuals who establish multiple relationships in many dimensions of everyday life and the work acquires significant importance in food production. Its production strategies and sociability among neighbors and relatives observed in the survey, are configured as representations of social relations between the subjects of the field, mediated by their practices and customs that support their livelihoods. Thus, the cultural universe also derives from the production process, as it involves knowledge and practices built up over time, which have been modified according to the needs of farmers in the rural community Olhos d Água. So that farmers remain in the agricultural context is needed in addition to productive knowledge, that practices are conducive to social reproduction, the insertion in the productive sector of the economy and also in society. On another level we have peasant agriculture whose production base family. The family work is what promotes the production, and aspects of the way of life and peasant creativity are differentials for this agriculture. The peasants can be understood by their attachment level in the market for production for a specific share of consumption and also the productive logic inter-related way of life that puts the family structure in direct contact with the production. The agricultural production of farmers involves knowledge and practices acquired over time and space, knowledge that have been modified according to the needs of the subjects. Brazil has in agriculture one of the major pillars of the economy and the production of commodities which moves the balance of international trade in agricultural products. However, we must be clear that food production is carried out by different production models of rural enterprises, as is the case of peasant production.
