Resumo: | This study presents a simulation technique for systems analysis of electrical grounds under the influence of atmospheric discharges. Methods of performance analysis, the characteristics of lightning discharge and the normalized model used are described. In this study, electrical grounding is studied using the electrical circuit method. The grounding was represented by sets of resistors and inductors, because the resistive effect is inherent in the passage of electric current in a conductor, and induction is relevant to capacitive and resistive effects. In this context, the mesh model is called Model PI-RL. A genetic algorithm is a computational technique that makes it possible to solve difficult problems, such as those involving power systems. We described genetic algorithms and developed a genetic algorithm-based software program called Sistema de Análise de Desempenho de Aterramentos (SADA) Grounding Performance Analysis System, which allows us to evaluate the behavior of the ground under atmospheric discharge conditions. To implement SADA, it is necessary to determine the electrical behavior of the mesh by applying a low voltage pulse and measuring the resulting current in the auxiliary grounding. From these measurements, SADA uses genetic algorithms to model the grounding in Model PI-RL. From this model, grounding behavior during atmospheric discharge is simulated using the discharge current standard. The proposed methodology is innovative in that it makes use of procedures that do not require verification of the topology of the ground to assess their performance. The results are relevant, since the parameters determined by SADA are close to those found experimentally, especially resistance when compared with the simulated experimental resistance. This is an indicator of the method s efficiency. |
