Resumo: | The poupose of this final thesis was to carry out the instrumentation of a remoted piloted aircraft equipped with na internal combustion engine (wich induce high vibration levels) with a low cost flight data acquisition system available on the market. After the proper instalation of all sensors on the high wing model Aircraft, sucessive test flights were carried out to assess the quality and reliability of the signals logged on the SD card. The most relevant embedded sensors were also individually evaluatede. The pitot-static system was evaluated using a calibrated wind tunnel in the LEEAR (Aeronautical Engineering teaching laboratory), with results demonstrating an excelente response to the applied speed references. The GPS receiver had its precision and accuracy evaluated in a geodesic frame with known coordi-nates at Uberlândia Airport. The Inertial unit accelerometers were evalueted regarded the frequency of data acquisition and proved to be unsuitable for aeroelastic analysis; however, its applicability for knematic evaluations was validated through the reconstruction of a kine-matic model using accelerometer data. Finally, the barometer was studied and it was con-cluded that the variability os its readings is quite small under static conditions; on the other hand, when submitted to intense vibrations from the engine the log data showed great vari-ations. Final considerations were made about the log data registration, about the realization of automatic flights within the scope of in-flight tests and also about the limitations of the studied data acquisition system. It is expected that this work will remais as a reference and starting point for future sutudies that intend to do flight tests in small rc models. |
